Default Need recomendations for DIY Alloy wheel refurb

My wife has a 1999 Accord EX with alloy wheels. The wheels are in tough shape from the salt and chemicals from to many hard winters. I have been watching videos on DIY wheel repair.

I am looking for recommendations on refinihing kits. No so much curb rash as just corrosion damage to the finish on the rims.

It looks like sanding and then rustoleum aluminum paint and clear coat my be one option. Any better choices?

They do have a couple wheel repair kits for sale at Auto Zone and Advance stores. Give them a look in their paint section..

If you want to sand and buff, you CAN do it, I have about an average hour and a half into each one and I am almost done.

stage 3 polish, before

stage 2
Paint stripper from Home Depot,
Light sanding
then soft scrub on a 6" buffer,
then polish with a buffer with Mothers Mag and AL polish.
