Hello everyone I just purchased a 1996 Accord LX 5 speed and the first time I turned on the headlights I discover the dash back lighting to be not working. As far as I can tell all warning lights still work and the HVAC controls,stereo,and clock all seem to dim properly as well. Does anyone have any suggestions of where to start with Diag? I was a lube tech for 5 years and I’m a semi competent wrench but I need some help with the right direction to start with or advice on if this is common issue or something more difficult to track down.

 

Dash back lighting is just light bulbs that can and will fail. Replacing them is easy once you remove the instrument cluster. Once you verify all fusing is adequate.
