Would any of you have bought the new accord, knowing what you know now about the audio/software issues? Or are we talking complete buyer's remorse here?

Buyer's remorse for me right now. If I could go back I'd probably wait for the 2014 or until they get all the kinks out. What is odd to me is all the reviews where the Honda is getting the highest ratings have not mentioned any of these sound or navigation problems.

I'm one of the people who experienced and reported Nav issues to Honda and on this forum. My last car was a 2010 BMW 328xi (leased), with premium and cold weather packages. When my lease came up in December I decided to get off the lease treadmill and get something I can afford to buy and would keep for 5+ years. So I got the EX-L with Navi.

Overall I am very pleased with the new Accord and would do it again even now. I love that I can get 37 or 38 mpg highway, regular gas, if I keep the car under 65 and on eco setting.

The safety features especially the passenger side camera are awesome.

The audio doesn't have the same "punch" as my BMW system did, unless you are using a CD or playing music off the hard drive (thats an extra feature you get with the Navi - every time you play a CD it can automatically copy the CD to built in 16gig hard drive...quite cool)

I don't think I would have bought mine either knowing how bad the sound quality is.
As I said in my other post, our 06 sounds better.

I've tried every source possible, cd, radio, pandora, xm and ipod. All sounded cheap to me.
I noticed it when we test drove the car but thought it was just an xm issue. It was my fault for not being more thorough since I put so much importance on the stereo.
I also totally understand the people complaining about the nav. For that price it should be a killer system.

I'm really disappointed in Honda on this one.

Buyer's remorse big time. My Accord (EX-L V6 with Navi) was bought withshort sight. I really went for the "gadgets" like the right lanecamera and the "green light coach" and the eco button. I fell for thegimmicks. I could have got a sweet deal on a new 2012 Hyundai Genesis for aboutthe same price. I went with the Accord because I thought it would give morepiece of mind as the Hyundai in my mind is still finding their footing. I lookback now and think I was wrong. Every week I find new things I don't like aboutthe car, like the light brown leather gets dirty so quickly...and the gray wasnot available in the exterior color I wanted. The fit and finish, as I lookcloser, are not up to snuff. My mother-in-law's Buick is nicer.

Wait until 2014 or look elsewhere. My 2 cents.

I would have probably still bought the car. My biggest disappointment is the sound quality of the audio, which I can ultimately correct on my own if I chose, if Honda does not come up with a solution.

Even with these issues, I know Honda's are made to last, they are easy and inexpensive to maintain, and I like most everything else about the car. I have the 2dr EXL-Navi with the V6. While this is basically an average midsize car, its hardly a boring one. Its relatively enjoyable to drive and I do love the power of the V6.

To answer the question, do I have buyers remorse? No. Has this been the perfect new car ownership experience so far? No. But do I like the car? Yes.

Thanks for all the responses. I've decided to take a test drive and check out the audio/touch screen problems...see if I can live with them until honda releases the fixes. I take some solace in the fact that the car will be under warranty for 3 years, and enough people are complaining that the issues will eventually be addressed, hopefully in the next couple of months. I might even use the fact that the vehicle software is buggy when negotiating at the dealers. I'll let you guys know how it goes :?

If Honda keeps this up Hyundai is going to overtake them and in some people's minds they already have. This is my third Accord and I've never had these types of problems.

My problems are worse than most because my Nav screen is having a lot of issues too.

I came on this sight to research the 2013 Accord. This WAS the car I was going to buy after driving the same truck for 11 years. After all this I've read I was concerned. So I started looking elsewhere... Until this site I hadn't considered anything but the Honda. Found that the Hyundai Sonata was nice. Test drove both of them and I liked the Hyundai better. Just felt right. That along with all the issues with the 2013 accord. If we were looking next year I might have considered the accord more, since they'll likely figure out some of the bugs. The Hyundai being in the 3rd year of this model sonata I figure the issues from 2011 are mostly worked out. This 2013 accord is just too iffy for me since I keep my cars for 10 years or so. So Hyundai won me over Honda strictly on the issues that the 2013 accord is having. I'm sure I'm not alone! After the 4th call from the honda sales person I finally had to tell them I chose the Hyundai mostly because of the bugs with the 2013 accord. Of course he was "unaware of any bugs with the accord"... Of course you were bud, of course you were! Keep denying it! Too bad! Their lack of working out the bugs before rushing out a competitive product lost them a very loyal customer. When I find a brand I like I stick with it until they screw me.
I'm planning on buying my Sonata on Sunday...

Default 2013 Accord EXLwith Nav speaker problems

Bought a new 2013 Accord EXL with navigation on Sunday, Feb 10. On Wednesday, Feb 13, returned to the dealer to have the interior illumination and the illuminated door sill plates installed. After this was completed, started noticing that the audio speaker on the drivers door would cut out. It might come on sometime when the car is first started and then would later cut out, or it might not come on when the car is first started. Took it to the dealer on Thursday, Feb 14 and they said it needed a new speaker, so they have ordered the speaker. But, after that, I noticed that when entering information in the nav system, such as address book entries, speed dials, etc., the navigation system locks up for a few seconds while making the entries. Even pushing any of the buttons (settings, phone, menu, nav, etc) results in no response. Eventually it will start moving again. So, don't know if this is related. I will wait for the new speaker and see if that solves the problem. My situation could be that when they installed the illuminated items, they may have screwed up some wiring.
Does anyone know if Honda is working on a solution to the navigation/radio problems?

Default Fix for 2013 Accord Nav and Bluetooth

Ardeebee--
Yes, one is coming, not sure exactly when and what items will be patched. Have heard it from both Honda American and my dealer.
