2013 Accord problems with nav. and blutooth
Nope, it was a EX-L V6 with Nav. The Sport is the 4cyl model with bigger wheels and a few other add-ons. The 4 cyl models are actually more probamatic, check this out:

I have had my Accord EX-L at the dealer 4 times now. The "update" has been installed 3 times. Here are my problems:
• The phone book will not download completely. Sometimes names & numbers appear, sometimes not
• I have not been able to see the contact photos on the caller ID since the 2nd week I had he car.
• The “Text Message Reader” works when it feels like it.
• The caller ID gives the number but no name for many calls even though the name & number is in the phonebook.
• The FCW periodically goes off when passing another vehicle. Usually when the vehicle is alongside. Sometimes the FCW goes off when there are no other vehicles anywhere in sight.
• The headlights blink off & on repeatedly when driving at night.
• A digital screeching emits from the speakers when listening to music through the Bluetooth or FM.
• The Bluetooth disconnects then reconnects to the phone periodically when listening to music.
• Periodically when shifting from Reverse to Drive, the main screen will go blank when the rear camera turns off. The car must be turned off and restarted for the display to work.
• Sometimes when starting the car the radio goes into CD mode and will not change until the car is turned completely off and started again
• I actually get better mileage per tank with the “Econ” button off. There is a 2-4 mpg difference.
No help from Honda. It seems like they just hope I will get tired and accept their POS car.

I have a new EX-L V6 coupe w/ nav, and if I were you I would think long and hard before you buy one, even the 6 speed (which I would imagine is a lot of fun).
The electronics as you can see are in beta mode, first year out. And the radio, frankly, sucks bigtime. I still can't believe how bad it is! I understand there is a software upgrade, my dealer says there isn't. I also read that dealers aren't aware that one exists? Maybe I have to convince him to call and make sure? Jeez. I had an '08 with the exact same trim and this crappy sound system doesn't even come close. Other people are aftermarket upgrading..later for that noise. And all of the software probs people seem to be having- bear in mind I haven't tried things like adding my phone book, texts, that kind of thing..its not me- but I can tell you the bluetooth picks up my Galaxy 3 fine.
My read..the car drives great, tracks better than the '08 I had. Has cajones, although on acceleration, the humming noise isn't welcome in my world. Someone mentioned that was deliberate, I can't imagine why.
Unfortunately there isn't a full size coupe to be had out there that has a 6 speed. Besides this one. If that makes you happy go for it.
As for the Nav..I have my misgivings. For the price I can just as easily use the nav on the phone.
One thing I would definitely consider, go online to Hyannis, or some other Honda dealer that seels online and pick up the extended warranty. If the stealer didn't con you into it..It's half the price of the dealer, and it's the same thing. Seems to me given that Honda apparently went into this model half ready there could be problems beyond the 36K thay give you.
If I could start over I'd have kept my '08 until next year. Not bought a first year redesign. And I'd not go in blind, assuming the car is a Honda, and take for granted the car has no inherent problems. As this one does. I basically looked at the car and bought it. Mistake.
Good luck.

Although I opted for no nav, my experience has been the same. I have a 06 Coupe and the 13 is better in almost every way except the stereo. I too just blindly went in with my wife to get her a new Honda Coupe, assuming like all our past Honda's, it would be a great car. Didn't really pay attention to the sound system. Again, I got caught assuming when it said "Premium Sound system with a sub" it would kick ***!
My wife loved everything about the car so we bought it. I'm disappointed in myself, after all the cars I've bought in my life that I overlooked this issue.
Last night we went to dinner in my 2011 F-150. It has a premium stereo with a sub that sounds awesome, and it reminded me just how bad her car sounds.
I get pissed when we take her car and the music sounds like crap so I try to avoid it.
Even though it's fun to drive, I'd rather take my truck and have great sound.
Now I'm just not sure what to do. We're going on vacation in a couple months and really want to take the car to save on gas. But I just can't put up with the crappy stereo for 8 hours.
I'm not holding my breath thinking Honda will fix it. So I'm afraid my only choice is to spend the money for an aftermarket fix. But the thought of having to pay to get a decent stereo on a $32k car is hard to swallow.
Hopefully they'll improve it on the 2014 model so people won't have to deal with this BS.

Very well said.

I have had the software update twice and each time after several weeks the problems started to return and now the blutooth problems are coming back. My biggest gripe now is not just the software problems, they can be fixed eventually, but with the so called prem. radio. I didn't expect a car company with Honda's reputation to use such junk for amp and speakers and I don't think anyone should expect it to improve next year. I don't think Honda is the car co. it use to be. I was encouraged to hear one of our contributors say they improved the sound by replacing the speakers. I wonder if he had to add another amp?
I went with replacing all the speakers with top line Infinity's, which are the only quality 2 ohm speakers I could find. I further went with a powered Infinity subwoofer, which is an absolute necessity if you want to fill in the bottom end.
the end result is really quite somthing. The sound is rich and full and you can crank it to the point of pain with no loss in definition and no distortion. Yes, it cost about $1,000 and it's an expense that shouldn't have to be incurred on a car of this price. But, if you're keeping it and want to really enjoy it, please consider it. Over the span of ownership, it really doesn't average out to all that much. I actually look forward to listening now.
