Ok, just left Rick case Honda and they didn't even bother looking at my car. The assistant service manager said he actually had the general managers accord in the service department with the exact same complaint and they were working with Honda to see what if anything is recommended to correct the problem. He said this is the third complaint of this nature he has heard in the last two days. He is going to contact me once Honda offers them a solution for the gm's car. We all know at this point there is not a solution and won't be until Honda recognizes this is a problem and makes an attempt to correct it. Additionally, he checked and there are no tsb's out yet to address this problem. I called Honda back and updated them as well. That's where I stand.

Ugh, to add insult to injury, I cannot get my phone to connect to the car for the handsfree link for the phone usage. Its connecting for Pandora and Aha, but not for the phone. I have deleted it, repaired it twice and nothing. It was working before. AND the button to release the trunk from the outside seems to have gone on vacation. So, my car will have to go back to the dealer at some point.

Sorry to hear you are having so many problems! Hopefully they can work out the bugs quickly. It's a pain having to go to the dealer all the time!

Speaking of being at the dealer, I stopped in there today to pick up my "complementary" door edge guards. It's hard to believe those things cost $70 installed or whatever it is. Crazy. Still doesn't fix my audio problem.

I'm noticing a lot of bugs when my iPhone is connected. The recommended setting for iPhones is to have USB be the preferred connection instead of Bluetooth. I set it that way for pandora and Aha. The problem is, when ever I start my car and plug in my phone, I always have to "allow" Hondalink access to my phone and the phone has to be unlocked. If I don't catch it in time, then the music bombs out and I have to unplug/replug the phone. Very buggy and discouraging.

After much research into the reasons for my HORRIBLE sound system and work around for the Nav lockouts at speed, I finally run across this forum and bittersweetly find that I am not alone but there appears to be no solution. I have no Bluetooth related issues and find I can even play iheart radio on my system via USB. I actually was at the dealer today for three issues: (1) TPMS light - easy fix, (2) Crappy sound from radio - compared to another coupe and sounded equally poor - had no fix or explanation, and (3) The fact that my driver and passenger air vents blow air at a 10 degree difference (colder on passenger) when set at the same temp - no explanation - other car was 5 degrees off in opposite direction. I waited all summer for this V6 w/Nav Coupe that was extremely hard to find in Still Night Pearl. I am horribly dissatisfied with the Sound System/Navigation unit. Give me back my 2010 I4 Blue Coupe with nav that I absolutely loved. I'll be watching this thread to see if there is ever a solution as I can't trust the local dealer to do anything but blow smoke up my personal exhaust pipe.

Default Call Honda Customer Service! Raise the Flag!

Hey russlittle -

Welcome to HAF first off!

Glad you found this post, even if it is only for commiserating purposes! I would highly suggest you call American Honda Customer Service (800 999 1009) and open a report with them. If you have records from your dealership that they have already looked at your sound and NAV, etc, they will be more willing to listen to you and open an official report. Also, another way to get their attention is by tweeting @HondaCustSvc (nicely) to explain your dissatisfaction. Some random person retweeted me and I was also direct messaged by Honda - with a call from them the next day. The more people that raise the flag, the better!

Hi from that random person! I'm Rich Koster (@DisneyEcho) and that's exactly why I retweeted you (if you are Chris/@big_squid) and others who were reporting problems -- to raise awareness of these problems so hopefully Honda will fix them faster. I want to buy a 2013 Accord EX-L coupe with navigation to replace my 2003 Accord EX-L coupe (without navigation), but I don't want it to have bugs like this. I'm reading the forums to see if/when Honda deals with these problems because I'd rather get the new Accord after these issues are resolved rather than before.

That's hilarious! Nice to meet you, Rich! Thanks for the R/T and hopefully us guinea pigs will pave the way for a problem free 2013/2014 Accord for you!

I spoke with "Reggie" from Honda customer service today. He said once again I need to take my car to the dealership to have it inspected. I replied I already did, but the dealership service manager saved me the hassle by admitting they know its a problem and don't have a solution. He also said Honda is not aware of any issue and I told him that is not true, as lots of people are already calling customer service and using twitter with the same complaint, so Honda does know. He asked me what it was I wanted Honda to do and I said acknowledge there is a problem, and notify me when they have a solution. I dont know what else I can do in the meantime.

This car would be darn near perfect (for me anyway) if the audio system rocked. I love the power, the V6 screams, the handling belittles its size and weight, and it genuinely looks like a nice car on the inside until the cheap sounding audio starts playing. Ugh.

I completely agree with you.
