I am trying to decide if I should install a floating screen, single din head unit in my 2011 accord lx. I want to install it in the upper information center bay but can’t find an install kit that would cover the front with a single din opening. I have looked in the usual online dealers inventories. Does anyone know where I can get something like that? If not, is there a custom place I could have one fabricated? Does anybody even know if there is room back there for a single din?

If that’s not practical I’ll have to go with the traditional installation below the temp controls in which case I want to get the right size screen. One that won’t interfere with the temperature controls. Does anybody else in here have or seen a floating screen install and if so, what size was the screen? 7,8,9 or 10 inches?

Double din up top is the answer. That's what I'm about to do. It will fill that hols and it won't be so far back on the dash. You'll be able to reach it easily.
