Default 99 Accord - Running amp wire without drilling?

I'm looking to run my amp wire through the firewall but I can't seem to find anywhere to pass it through. I've searched quite a bit but I can't find anything helpful. Where did you guys run yours?

IDK about your car, but there is usually a spot behind the driver's side upper strut support where wires go through to get to the fuse panel. I've wired a good handful of cars and haven't had to drill any yet.

On your 99 there is an empty grommet above the brake pedal.... I stabbed a + with a knife and threaded her right through.

On my 2000 V6, the power lead was run where I suggested above ..... no drill, no knife

If I remember correctly, when working on a friends 2000 the hole falklore is talking about only an 8 gauge would fit without drilling. May be remembering a different car though. Just grab a flashlight and look. As for most other cars there are big holes in the firewall sealed with a big rubber grommet with a bundle of cables going through. Cut an X next to the cable on the grommet. Then what I like to do to make it easier to pass through is I crimp the battery terminal on the end of the wire, and from the inside push the wire into the engine compartment. Then pull and run it to the battery, then I cut the wire a couple inches back and install in the inline fuse.

I had a 4ga. in there ..... had enough room for (4) 1/0's but they'd be tight

I know what spot you're talking about, I tried it first and couldn't get the wire through so I found an empty grommet and sliced it open. Works fine, no leakage.

I always like to put a little silicon with my finger on the wire and around the grommet hole. Prolly isn't necessary but I have the supplies so I do it.

To use my spot, you have to remove the lower portion of the dash most of the way (the part under the steering wheel) and feed your arm all the way up ..... I'm pretty good with doing things just by feel.

It's pretty tight for your arm, but the wire feeds through nicely.
