1992 Accord - Drivers door will not open. Need drilling instructions
The drivers side door on my 1992 Honda Accord will not open from the inside or out. The levers, rods and key lock feel normal like they are working but the door seems to stay locked. I have read a few posts that say this is a common problem and the lock assembly needs to be drilled out from the inside in order to get it to release and open the door and then I need to replace it. I read a few things that say there is a service bulletin on this issue but I cannot find it anywhere. I need to know exactly where to drill the hole into the lock assembly to get it to release. If anyone has a diagram or a copy or the service bulletin that would be very helpful.
It looks like the shops get $500-600 to fix this and that's too much for me.
Help would be VERY appreciated! I'm getting tired of getting in and out the passenger door
Thanks

In the attached pic you will see the 'L' shaped end of the spring; about 1/4' in a diagonal line away from the spring end is where I center the hole.
After going thru the first layer of metal, tilt the 1/4' drill bit to point downwards approx. 30 degrees.
Keep pushing on the door with your shoulder, then when the door opens you can fall out on the floor. LOL
