Default 99 UK Model Accord Stereo Issue

Hi i posted this as part of 3 problems i am having with my accord in the general section but have been adviced to repost it in here so fingers crossed someone can let me know how to fix this as its becoming a touch annoying.

Minor one i know but still bugging me, when i bought the car there was no stereo fitted so i fitted the one i had bought for my old car. Now if i stall or turn the engine off before i turn the stereo off the stereo loses all the information like date, time, audio preferences i have set it up with. But if i turn the stereo off first then the engine it remembers all my settings perfectly (weird)

Thanks for reading

it is going to have something to do with the 12v constant.

Agreed, verify that you haven't mixed up ignition and battery constant wires. Maybe your HU retains settings when turned off since it still has ignition voltage, but loses info when you disconnect constant while the radio is on.
