Default Audio upgrades?

Hey all, I was wondering if I could add a subwoofer to my 2010 ex sound system and keep it all the same, or if i had to rip out all the factory stock speakers and add a new amp and speakers and a sub... I wanted to get the EX-L, but the price difference was way jacked up by like 4k, and the only reason why I wanted the EX-L was the leather seats and premium sounds, but 4k for that was too much for me imo. So if I want to upgrade the sound system and the least I want to do is add a sub, what should be doone? And what would be the basic price for getting it done? :O Bass is the way to go for me being that I'm a bassist, and I gotta hear that thump rumble my spine. HAHA
Thanks

I'm gonna move this over to A/V Elect. secton where you're more likely to get a good answer.

sure, a simple line output converter (LOC) off the rear 6x9's could give a signal to a sub amp. you'll need to steal a remote-turn on from the factory head unit.

you will also see a huge benefit in bass output if you just remove the rear 6x9's to let the bass through.
