oh an if you dont want to do that. you could always buy one of those rc battary from radioshack that has at least 900ma an a 9.6 volt. an use that for your neon

A 900ma pack will only supply .9 amps for an hour(Not to mention there is care and maintenance involved in using Nihm packs), so that's not a great power source, especially when working in a car. There is no reason not to be able to power something in a car, where there is plenty of energy to go around.

i kno itll only power for an hour or two. buh i just know that some people don't want to splice due to "warentee"

Well you don't void your warranty by adding accessories either... There is absolutely no reason to not get a power source, also nihm packs aren't just as easy as that. It would be 10 times the hassle. Trust me I'm an R/C enthusiast, and I know a bit about nihm, and nicad packs(And a 900mah is a small pack BTW). There is a bit of know how, and care involved in making a nihm pack last. I'm sorry but that was a bad suggestion and members who don't know any better may waste their money trying to do just that.
