If you don't want to amp them yes. Efficient speakers will sound decent with stock power. This is just my opinion but also if your not going to amp them I would look at 5.25". They produce better mids and highs than 6"s so they may sound brighter than 6"s hooked up to low power.

EDIT- The Alpine SPS-17C have a dB rating of 92....I should go for that right?

That seems like a good choice for what your looking for. While it isn't the best it should be sufficient.

It really comes down to your preference. I have never heard any of those speakers but the infinitys I have heard are too hard for my liking. Although harshness may not be a problem since your not amping them. I honestly don't know, but I do know those alpines will be a good choice.

Alpines it is then. Reviews rave of their excellent quality and sound...we'll see.

It seems a bit un-necessary and tedious to remove the entire door panel just to get at the front speakers...but that's Honda for ya!

Paycheck comes today, so I'm gonna order them soonish. I'll keep yall posted...and perhaps a sound clip is needed.

I installed the Alpines today! They sound punchy and mids are crystal clear. Need to break them in though.
