So when my iPod is connected to the USB port my iPhone 5s will not connect, unplug iPod and the iPhone connects just fine. THEN plug the iPod back in and the infotainment system thinks I want to play a song from my iPhone! Is this an Android thing? Is this a stupid user thing ME? The iPod touch bluetooth is off and plugged into the USB port center armrest console and the iPhone is plugged into the dash USB port under the system. What am I doing wrong? Please someone HELP!

With regards to Infotainment System, Is it not possible to connect BOTH my iPhone and iPod at the same time? iPhone in the dash USB Port and iPod in the center console. I'm having issues getting them to play nice together. They work fine independently of each other i.e. (one or the other) both with the iPod left plugged in and you just get in the car and p;ug in your iPhone CarPlay won't load. Need Help

 

it may not be able to handle both since the USB connection is designed for control of the iPhone. you may need to connect the headphone out to the AUX input in order to use both at the same time - meaning the iPod controls are needed.

or change to a USB thumbdrive. It can handle a thumbdrive and BT phone at the same time easily.
