Default Radio won't work after entering code - all static!

I had a parts store replace my battery and afterwards, got the Error message on my factory radio (99 Accord). Couldn't find the code so I pulled the radio out and got the serial number, called the local Honda dealership, got the 5-digit code and entered it.

The Error message cleared and I can turn it to any station now. But the problem is that I can no longer pick up any station's signal – all I get is STATIC. The radio has always played fine, no problems until this happened.

Any ideas?

probably pulled the antena loose when you pulled the radio out. about 95% sure that is what happened.

agreed. you can access the rear of the radio without removing it again - just pop the plastic panel beneath the radio loose and reach up behind.
