sat nav upgrade

Red face sat nav upgrade

Hi all , I have just brought my 3rd Accord , an 2.2 i ctdi executive estate on an 55 plate , can,anyone tell me if a Sat nav system will go straight in if a standard radio cd player is removed please both units are standard Honda and sat nav is from an Accord of the same age , many thanks

I've swapped factory accord stereo into an oddessey. But not navi. the power and speaker connecters will be the same but I would assume the navi also needs an antenna. So make sure you swap over the antenna and you'll probably need to use the mounting brackets from the new car.

agreed that you need more than just the head unit for it to work. any external amplifiers, the original factory antenna and wiring, etc. from the original car. also, the monitor and connections may be different from non-nav to nav. you'll have to get in there and put eyes on the units and see what you're missing (if anything).
