i am not as familiar with the factory speakers in your model year. the best thing to do before you buy is simply to remove the factory speakers. then you measure the mounting depth and the top depth. the top depth tells you how thick your baffle can be. with the window rolled down you can measure the actual available mounting depth (top of the hole is usually a bit less than the bottom of the hole).

i have plenty of speaker baffle pics in the door speaker sticky in this section.

If the hole is 6x9, can't I just buy the 6x9 speakers? They're cheaper cost and sound nicer.

They are coaxils which means you will be putting highs in your rear stage. probably wont sound as good as you are thinking it will. I have also never heard 6x9s that sound as good as a nice set of 6.5s.

also came across these today. if you want the 6x9s for bass these maybe a solution. I am seriously contemplating buying a pair.

a 6x9 will always be more expensive than a comparable 6.5. if it is less, then expect worse sound.

but it is a moot point. i should have checked before we went down this road. the rear speakers are 6.5". you can verify this by just looking in the trunk and seeing circular speakers instead of oval.

Through the trunk you'll find 3 screws on each speaker that are holding on the speaker covers. Unscrew those, then from inside your car the speaker covers will lift right off. Also while your in the trunk your going to want to unplug your existing speakers. After you've done those two things, from the inside of your car, lift off the speaker covers, unscrew your existing speakers and lift them out. The 95 Accord comes from the factory with 6 1/2 in. speakers so this means that the speaker bracket or adaptor holding in the speaker is only that big. 6x9s dont fit in the factory bracket, you'll have to take that one off and buy an adaptor that will fit a larger size
just get front 6.5" components and rear 6.5" woofers.

ideas for inexpensive 4 ohm rear woofers:
