Default 97 According to LX I4 F22B2 Build

I am starting this thread for a build I am working on. The car interior has been entirely removed accept drivers seat, all the way down to removing the sound dampening mats adhered to the car. A/C and power steering are gone for good, rack has been converted to full manual by blocking off the necessary parts and packing the pinion gear assembly with grease. It has 4/2/1 header into homemade test pipe aka, knocked the guts of the cat out, and a aftermarket muffler w/out silencer. Intake is a super short ram, as in probably a foot like angled pipe off throttle body to a cone filter.

note: i have cut into and lifted the harness and removed as much of the wiring as i could that is now not needed.

i have recently ordered a mishimoto radiator and am awaiting it now for installation, Wednesday i am ordering the fan shroud with 12” fans and hoses and a trans cooler.

The transmission is currently not functioning correctly as a result of cutting something lose in the harness that goes to the transmission control switch that I have yet to figure out and fix. I don’t really care too much as I will be replacing it with a manual (not sure yet which manual).

My goal with this car is 350-500 HP and built.

as of yet I am undecided on things like whether to swap out the head for a H series and whether I want V-tech or not.

After I finish the cooling system, I will probably start working on the fuel system. I am seriously considering updating everything to handle methanol, but still in the early stages of that research and all of the components I am going to upgrade, fuel pump, lines, filter, rail, regulator and injectors can use whatever fuel i want to anyway, so it will only need to have methanol tune to change it at that point anyway.

lots to consider… as i update parts and do work i will revisit this here as well as post questions for issues i may run into, that hopefully more knowledgeable people than me can assist with.

It is 2025 and quality parts are becoming more difficult to source. 🤷🏼 I am determined though. 😁

Good luck on the build. You may get more responses in the gen tech help section as this DIY section typically only has write-ups on how to do common items on accords.

Default Thanks!

Thank you for the advice. I will definitely check that out and post over in general tech.
