for some reason during these periods of acceleration....say im at a light and im waiting to get on the highway...well when i accel off the line it sputters till about 25mph...then smoothes out...then say im not accelerating and im goin about 60mph it sputters until i accel out of that range....does anyone know what the problem is??...they say i have a messed up knock sensor...cud that be it??

 

Who says that it-s a sensor and how was that diagnosed? Does the sputter also make the wheels chirp coming off of a red light?

 

thats a weird one... do you have a check engine light on? have you done proper tune up/oil change.?

 

autozones diagnostic device said it....and no the wheels dont chirp...but yes the check engine light is on...but thats because of the knock sensor...needs updated oil change....
