Default 1998 4 Cylinder Having trouble starting

So I have a 98 accord that won't start unless I apply the gas. I turn the ignition and it will try to start, but won't click over until I apply the gas. Sometimes it clicks over right when I apply the gas and other times it takes a minute or longer. What would be the cause of this?

Are the tune up items (cap, rotor, wires, plugs, air filter, ect) up to date?

Check, watch the CEL light on the dash, turn the key to on, the light should come on and the fuel pump primes for ~3 seconds, then a click and the light goes off. Does it start or give the same issue.

Most tune up items should be up to date. I'm checking on the air filter and spark plugs today.

I tried turning the key and the light came on. I waited for 3 seconds and tried to start, but it just has the same problem. Someone I spoke to mentioned the fuel pump relay and someone else mentioned the spark plugs. Not really sure what it would be. Any ideas?

DId the light go off? I not, then yes. It sounds like the main relay/fuel pump relay has gone bad. Test, if bad then replace.
