i have a 97 acura CL, which has a j30a1 V6 in it, the transmission went bad, so i went to a local wrecking yard and bought a known good transmission out of a 99 accord v6, with the same engine code as my car.

i installed the transmission with only 2 problems
1.) i have no speed sensor
2.)front engine mount holes are not threaded.

im not too worried about #2. but lets discuss #1

the hole for the speed sensor is blocked, and i have an extra 10 pin connector that leads to the side of the transmission, its identified as a "TEC"

apparently, this is how 99 accords read the speed.

can i hardwire my VSS plug into 3 of these wires and have a speedometer?
