Have any of you guys done this on a 98-01 accord 4cyl, replace a auto tranny with one from previous gen 94-97? Will it fit?

 

I don't think so because 1998 was the first year for full computer-control of the auto-trans. For example the 94-97 transmission needs a physical cable from the throttlebody to the transmission. That's done in software in 1998. Transmission controller is integrated into the engine controller, so you can't just use a trans-controller from 97.
