no it's not hitting the heat shields, it's hitting the chassis directly.

The exhaust hangers are normally rubber donuts hanging on steel rod brackets. Those brackets can often be bent one way or another to get the tubeto quit hitting.

There's only about .5-1 inch on each side of the can of "wiggle room," so bending the hangars really would only make it hit more.. it's perfectly centered in the area when the engine is off... I haven't visually seen it hitting, but by pushing the can to the side I hear the same exact noise and can see some minor rub marks... this is annoying
