sorry i'm pretty sure this has been covered. Don't know what question to ask to help me find what i'm looking for on the forum. I have a 91 accord 5speed manual. I'm gonna swap out my motor. but all i'm finding are same f22a1 motors that are automatics. What do I need to put that Automatic motor into MY car that's setup for manual. I"m not trying to make my manual into automatic, that's just dumb. Just a motor swap.

 

you can use a auto engine it will bolt up fine. All f22 engines either auto or 5spped are all the same. Now when you get in to h22/f20b swaps the auto engines have a smaller TB size and don't make as much power as the 5speed engines. But will still bolt up without a issue.

 

I am in the same boat. Timing belt broke while driving. I have a 91 model 5 speed and found a wrecked a 93 model auto with an excellent engine. I want to buy his unit and swap engines.

Did you do your swap without any hitches?
