how do you tell if you have a vtec?
Also it would help if you put in your Year, make, model in the additional area of your profile like most of the other members do...
Without that information its like me asking if you carry a wallet in your glove box

just as what the others said...put the year, model, trim, of your car and we can most often than not tell what your engine is..or just by looking under hood...check your engine..=D..if its dosnt say vtec on the cover then most likely its not..but sure way to check is by the engine name...ie: F22B2,etc..
i've researched your car at wikipedia for you and it says there that the 96' Odyssey have the 2.2L I4. The 2.3L VTEC only came out on the 98' Odysseys...so im pretty sure yours is a 2.2L non-VTEC..
The engine type &block serial number are stamped on a flat spot on the front, alongside the exhaust manifold, right at the split between the block & the tranny bellhousing.
First line is the engine type like F22B2 or whatever. Read it off YOUR engine then theres no guessing.
