ignitor or distribitor problem?
i got a 91 honda accord lx coupe at 168,000 miles
sometimes, it will have problems starting up and stuff, and I will have to wait hours for it to work...
dont know why, but ive read forums and people say its the ignitor or distribitor
i want to know if there's a store or someplace to get one of these to try and fix my car
probablly a new part cause i dont really trust old parts from the junk yard and stuff
thanks...

I'm going to have to 3rd that opinion. Ignitor is like 60 bucks - that's the last thing you'd want to try, and if that went, you'd have no spark anyway. Good luck, tell us how it goes.

RE: ignitor or distribitor problem?
I just bought a 90 accord lx that my neighbor could not get started. It was a $64 ignition module that was out. They stated that the car would sometimes start and sometimes it would not. They also mentioned a few time while driving, the car would just stop. I don't know if you are just experiencing issues starting or if it also cuts out on you while driving too. You can pull a wire and test for a spark.
Good Luck!
EDIT:
BTW: This will be the third time this part went out. I talked to a local Honda dealer here in Cali and they stated these things go out all of the time. The NEC modules go out more often. FYI

Take out your ignition module and take it to your AutoZone store where they have a tester that can tell you if the part is good or no good..cost you nothing but your time to get it tested there..
