i have been looking around and been seeing f22 h22 what is this and which is better?? i've also seen "b" having to do with transmissions and all this. I wanna know MORE....i've never heard of these things...

 

f22 is what came stock in 90-97 accords, h22 is what came in some preludes and cars sold in other countries.

the h22 makes far more power.

b series motors came in civics and integras like b16 b18 b20 etc.

the letter is the engine series, and then the number is the displacement, like a b16 displacement is 1.6l and a d15 is a 1.5l

 

hey live 2 rice, i have decided to ditch my turbo project ( see my turbo in for sale section ) did you happen to do a diy or a detailed post on your h22 swap, i have decided to ditch turbo f22 for h22 swap and looking for some pointers, sorry to thread jack but i am sure this post if going nowhere

 

i never did a swap guide per say, i pretty much followed the one on sportcompactcar but its really simple, feel free to hit me up thru pm or on aim(dreaminofJDM) with any questions you may have

F block for turbo

H block for N/A monster build

Why? H block is at a higher compression ratio...adding a turbocharger would be death. Blower kits....well...unique, but you're only tapping into 20% of the potential of the block.

 

Can you post a link to the swap guide on sportcompactcar? Also I looked on ebooks for the swap guide that was mentioned and could not find it. A link to that would be nice too. Thanks
