But again, I see your point. My wifes 6.1L HEMI runs 0/40 and to me, that's way to thin for a huge american V8
You really don't understand how oil works; 0W-40, 5W-40, 10W-40, 15W-40 and 20W-40 ALL have the same weight once they thin out when they're up to operating temperature. The only difference is that the lower the "W" number, the faster it flows following a cold start. Said another way, 0W-40 in your Hemi is anything but too thin for the engine, it's more like perfect.
