Smile Question about what a mechanic told me?

I had to take my car in to get the radiator replaced and when my dad and I came back to pick it up, he told me that the vtec solenoid was leaking oil a little bit and that it was going to go out at some point. I have never heard of a vtec solenoid, is their such a thing? If there is, are they hard to replace?

Thanks for your time!

Look between the valvecover and the intake manifold. Somewhere between there, closer to the distributor-side of the engine. The VTEC solenoid has a triangle 3-bolt flange. Look for leaking oil. Not only at the 3-bolt flange, but look where the entire spool-valve is bolted to the head.
It should be easy to replace except the wrench positions are pretty horrible.
