rear main oil seal

Default rear main oil seal

I have a 2000 Accord EX 4 cyl. I have found the oil leak is coming from the rear main oil seal and was wanting to know how hard it is to replace it and do I need to take the transmission off to replace it.

not sure if we have a DIY for this but I came across this on H-T while looking for something else...

97 accord oil seal leak, easy to change? - Honda-Tech

should be the same for you 2000 since they are all F series engines...

Yes you will have to remove the transmission to change the rear main seal.
