Default Rear main seal change - w/out removing tranny?

Ok, I've got a rear main seal leak on my '94 Accord, auto. I'm going to change it myself and was wondering if the job can be done without removing the tranny from the car. I'd rather not waste my time trying to do it and then find out it's not possible. Thanks for your help, Marshal

[align=left]I think you have to unbolt the tranny... when I did my clutch job it was recommended I change the seal since I had everything apart anyways... but I didn't

I realize I have to unbolt the tranny, but I'm wondering if I need to actually remove it from the car, or if I can just unbolt it, push it to the side and change the seal that way.

Yeah, you can only separate them about 1.5" before you run out of room.
