reset ECU?

well.. battery or not.. I just want to know if there is an alternative to resetting the ecu rather than take it somewhere and use a scan tool.

If you disconnect EITHER battery lead, you have removed the battery from the circuit. There is no difference which is removed, but to reset the ECU, look at DH's post.

Its like the #13 fuse. Wait 5 min and put it back in.

thanks for the reply but it seems that for the 7th gens the only way is to use a scan tool according to desert honda.
