shot 88 LX, donor 88 LXI, can I use injection?
My 88 accord LX has sticky rings at 249,000 miles, smokes like crazy at at cold startup (sometimes) I have an opportunity to get a low mileage injected accord LXI which was wrecked. What would I have to change in the wiring of the car? my current engine runs very strong but the carb has had fast idle problems when cold and stalls when hot. I'm sure the auto choke is worn out. anyway I would like to use the injection if it's possible. I suppose I could just continue to look for a carburated engine, any help would be appreciated. thank you.

I don't know much about the older accord but I know some of the carb engine accord did come with PGFI in the later years like 89 or so. I don’t see why it will be a prob. but I don't know your answer in full to be honest. Do some more research and I’m sure you will find your answer. Sorry I couldn’t help any farther than this...

any suggestions on where to research? it would be nice to just drop in the motor and the motor harness and just plug and play but I am afraid I may have to change allot of wiring I just wish I had some steering in the correct direction Honda's seem to be complex when it comes to the layout of just about everything, it wouldn't surprise me if the entire harness had to be changed (scary) thanks for any input.

Sometimes yes you have to do some wiring. I also have seen ppl drop b16 engines from civic si into the older accords. Much Much more power then what is in your car now or any engine from that point in time
maybe you can look into that. Look around on google for some older accord forums too. I'm sure they are out there just need to be found.
