Hey ya'll,

I'm new to the forum. It's a pleasure to be with other Accord enthusiasts. Here's a question. My 2001 Accord Coupe driver window works, but when it gets to the top about a 1/2 inch from the coping, it makes this terrible knocking noise over and over and the window doesn't proceed any higher. After a while googling answers (I'm trying to NOT have to visit a mechanic), I diagnosed that it may need a new window regulator and not a motor, since the window still proceeds to go up and down.

Anybody have any advice, suggestions, concerns? Have I misdiagnosed my Accord? I'm eager to hear from anybody.

I have had to have 3 of my window regulators replaced because of the same sounds your having..

The rollars also wear out and cause the windows to have that bumping sound they get.
Go to Eric the car guy on You Tube and type in the window regulator replacement and he will show you how to do it.
