02 honda coupe cruise control not working?
The light doesn't light up when I push the cruise control button on the left, and it doesn't go into cruise control at all. Any ideas? I'll check the fuse soon, but I think I checked it already...

accord 4 cyl coupe that is, ex. also my light isn't showing on my dashboard that my seatbelt isn't on, but the other dash lights are working. and my door locks are messing up as well...
btw from a previous post - i assume it was the blown head gasket. got it back from the shop, drove it home, opened the hood, and oil was squirting out of the engines seals they'd replaced. they said to bring it back, i braught it back, and they fixed it, free of charge of course or else, and the overheating has stopped. i also noticed they changed the 14lb radiator cap to a 16 lb one......atleast it's not overheating.

Hold down the horn and try to set the cruise control. Tell us if it works.
The seat belt light may be unrelated. It could be a burned out bulb or a problem with the switch in the buckle. Just make sure you wear your seat belt.

Holding the horn will provide a ground to the cruise control switch. It is an annoying test, but was worth a shot.
My best suggestion is to get a 98-02 shop manual. Automanualsource.com has them for sale for $21.99 and you can download it as a pdf. You will need a volt meter and will need to follow the tests on the electrical connector for the cruise control unit. The $22 investment will pay for itself once you use it to do one DIY project.
