I purchased a used 07 Accord yesterday, and last night as I was driving it. was experiencing some minor electrical gremlins. The radio sound made a pop and then went out. Accompanied with the dashboard lights over the climate controls not illuminated and the dome light not working either when I opened the door. When the radio popped, I turned the power off on it, turned it back on, and the sound returned but popped again shortly thereafter. I repeated this and the sound came back on and the dashboard lights came on as well. The dealership said they replaced the radio and replaced the battery before putting it up for sale. I'm wondering if there could be a short in the radio which is causing this, perhaps it wasn't installed properly, or could it be an issue with the fuses? Any thoughts or ideas on this one?

 

There was definitely electrical issues if you have the factory radio. I changed mine out years ago to a Honda navigation unit. I did not experience what you are going through. Mine would fade out until it cooled down. If it was a new radio put in you should not have an issue.

If it was not bought as is then I would take it back and let them figure out the issue.
