I would love to get my hands on a '77 accord. All Civics look junky to me all the way up to '92.

I miss living in the Northwest for just that reason. You can find a '71 Pinto in better condition than my '91 Accord for less than $500. I bought a mint 1985 Tempo that ran and drove from an auction for $55. I bought a Subaru Standard in rough shape but it ran and drove for $30. I bought a '91 Sable that was partially wrecked but ran and drove for $40. You cannot find anything around here (Mississippi) that runs and even pretends to drive for less than $1,000 most of the time.

1200 engine, distr with points, aluminum block, carburated, lot of issue if it were ever to overheat

2+2 = JUNK..,,,,sorry if i disappoint you but that is my personal opinion

Awww... My dad had one when I was in college. Which of course makes it -umm- a REALLY old car. It was a cool car, but it was only a few years old at the time.

Yeah Im sure the current drivetrain in there is junk, but I was under the impresion we are telling him to get it and modify it with a different engine etc?

oh by the way HAF, I BOUGHT IT $100 cash + cost of uhaul tow dolly



It's under cover right now, but I haven't had time to clean it yet....or really time to mess with it at all.
