1986 Accord lxi
My car won't start and I'm hoping somebody will know why. Heres the deal. I get in the car put the key in the ignition...nothing happens, turn the key... nothing happens. But the headlights still pop up and work. So whats the deal???

I think that you can download the shop manual for an 86 on the Online Manuals thread in the DIY section.
Begin by checking all of the fuses. It looks like fuse #1 under the dash protects the starting circuit, etc.. The headlights are on a different circuit.
If the fuses check out ok, then I would look at the electrical portion of the ignition switch.
