The other day I bought a 1986 LXi cheap, its nice, very nice. Body is nice, interior is clean. But the tranny only drives in reverse and second gear, so about 35-40! I called a couple transmission shops to see about getting it rebuilt (transmission) it was from $1500 on up. Anyone have this problem before or have any ideas of waht to look for?
