1989 accord massive carb flooding

got a rebuild kit today.. teh warehouse had one.. The float is fine but we needle rubber was pretty good - id say 90 % good.. but the orings were a bit too flat. Clearly not the full problem but certainly would not be to spec. Compared pic from manufacturer to the fuel pump that SHOULD have been in that box and its not the right pump. Someone either at the factory or at a part warehouse put in the wrong pump or did a switcharoo.... The pump that was in there was for teh LXI but in the model for the carb box.

Ouch, a fuel pump for the LXi is like 40 psi vs the carb that is maybe 10 psi.......BIG difference.

There is no way the float needle would stop that amount of pressure.

Picked up new and proper pump. Father in law installing now...just need to put new needle set and float on and new gasket and reinstall carb top...of course fine tune the level
