1989 honda accord LXI

Default 1989 honda accord LXI
I have a 1989 Honda accord lxi automatic. When I put the car in park unless the park light is on I cannot turn the key to the off position in order to remove the key from the ignition Any help would be appreciated.

why are you trying to remove your key when the car isnt in park....
