Default 1990 accord severe hesitation

I have drilled out the egr ports and cleaned them and it still hesitates just as bad as it did.
It misses even when its idling but at random. It hesatates all the way thru from 0 to 60.
No check engine lite
When you are driving at a steady speed it misses at random.I have read that maybe an o2 sensor may cause this with no engine light.
It does have a exhaust leak at the flex part of the down pipe close to the o2 sensor. It seams to hesitate worse while giving it gas to get up to speed.
I hanen't looked at the plugs yet because i thought it war egr port related.
Does anyone have any ideas to lend my way.
Thanks ken

Possibly wires, plugs, new distributor cap and rotor, or all of these. I would spray the wires and distributor cap w/ water mist at night and look for sparks. New plugs should be installed if they haven't been replaced.

It could be O2 sensor, but w/o monitoring sensor, I would investigate above items first.

good luck

Thanks for followup. Glad to hear your Accord is purring. Nothing beats that sigh of relief when they start and run correctly after a serious battle w/ no-start.

good luck
