1990, passenger seat belt stuck in secure position
i just got my 1990 ex. 269237 miles. pasenger's seat belt stays in secure position doesnt matter if its on or off. the radio antenna doesnt go up. any way to fix these problems?
Check the roller for that seat belt to see what's jamming it..The antenna is power I guess..Check to see if the power is going thru it with a 12 volt tester at an auto parts store..Fuse also.
Antenna is likely failed. These are weak and fail frequently. There are replacements on ebay, both fixed and retracting at reasonable prices. I finally installed a fixed on my 94EX.
I believe the seat belt system has a lifetime warranty. This seat belt arrangement was a failed experiment that only lasted 1-2 years I believe.
good luck

This might sound stupid but lets say I did have the warranty. what does this mean? I can go to a local Honda dealer and they'll fix it for me? And the fuse for the antenna works.
Yes, Honda will repair at their expense. I don't know this but have read of others using this feature on safety systems.
So, fuse is good. That means damaged wiring, or motor is frozen or broken. You'll have to remove the power antenna assembly in the trunk to find out what is wrong.
Suggest downloading a manual from Online Manuals links in DIY forum. I think there's a 91 Accord manual which is very similar to the 90 Accord. It will provide guidance to remove and repair/replace the power antenna.
