Default 1991 accord lx clutch question

hello all. i have a 91 accord that i put a clutch in yesterday. the problem is, where the slave cylinder hits thearm that pushes the throwout bearing, there is only about 1/4 inch of space for the slave cylinder to push the arm down to release the clutch before the arm is bottomed out. with the clutch installed and the car not running, clutch pedal not being pushed, how much should the slave cylinder rod be sticking out??? thank you in advance for any help!!!

Default RE: 1991 accord lx clutch question

The post description is a little confusing.

The actual problem is the slave rod only moves 1/4' ???
Did you break loose the line when changing the clutch?
Did you bleed the clutch system?

Does the clutch not dis-engage when the engine is running?
