Default 1994 accord mt acting up!

Hey guys hope you are having/had a wonderful day! Ive been driving my car (1994 accord lx 5 speed 2.2L) and recently I've been feeling a crunch and a grinding sound when I sometimes put it in 1 gear and then when I barely release the clutch I feel the car jump or jolt even when barley engaging/disengaging the clutch you could also hear a thump sound when doing this and this happens evertime I start from a stop. Can my transmission be going out? (The previous owner changed it twice) Is this a symptom of something being loose like a trans mount or the pressure plate? Anything helps thanks!!

Does it start to pull when you barely engage the clutch (meaning that happens when you barely lift the clutch pedal off the floor)? If so, that sounds like your clutch hydraulic system has air in it and you need to bleed the clutch.

There's a smaller chance your clutch is dragging because it's warped or something similar. To check if the hydraulic system is doing it's job, have someone press the clutch pedal all the way down while you watch the clutch throw-out lever. The lever should move about 12mm with a full stroke of the pedal.

"I've been feeling a crunch and a grinding sound when I sometimes put it in 1st gear."
Jim Blakes suggestion might be it, clutch dragging I would call it.

This 3rd 5spd tranny on one car is amazing to me. My 5spd '92 has 270K on it and first tranny is still solid, just crunching if I shift fast from 1st to 2nd. Luck.
