my brother has a problem with his 94 ex it goes down the road a few miles then the trans goes out he lets it sit a few minutes then it takes off but it goes out again, and he repeats it over again any ideas other than replacing it?

 

There may be a problem w/ the TCM (trans control module). Suggest you check for codes set by TCM. See DIY forum for guidance on extracting trans codes and following link.
