1994 EX---What is this sensor and will it let the car run?

Crimp-on butt connector should work OK. You might want to use heat-shrink tubing over that, to make it a bit more water-resistant.

I haven't seen the kind that are waterproof all by themselves, but it sounds good.

Cool, gonna follow the advice and use butt connector on the wire splice.

Final update, I pulled the sensor from the junkyard yesterday, along with the heat resistant tubing over it.

Electrical taped it and wrapped the tubing over it.

So far no issue and no CEL. If issue arise in the coming days, will definitely use Crimp-on butt connectors and then wrap the tubing over it.
