Question 1994 Honda Accord LX Coupe Window Motor Not Going Up Much!

im not really sure yet but my driver side window barley goes up now. When i try to make it go up it goes for a second then stops, after still tryin to get it to go up theres no sound that motor is still trying. What could be stuck or would i have to replace the motor? If it comes to that how would i remove it cuz i looked everywhere and no luck...

thanks in advance!

If window will not close w/ "help" from your hand to assist, the regulator is probably broken. There is a plastic cable guide sheave that will fail under too high cable tension (too much window load), and renders the regulator un-repairable. Fix is a used or new replacement regulator.

You have to remove door panel to access, remove window, remove regulator, replace regulator, and reinstall removed parts. A shop manual for your model is highly recommended to avoid damaging door panel window, etc. See Online Manuals links for a download manual if you don't have a Honda manual.

You should clean/replace/relube the window guide channel (rubber groove the window runs in) when window is removed. Dirt/grit in the run channel may be reason the regulator was overloaded. Use silicone grease (lightly) in the window run channel to lube.

good luck
