Default 1995 Accord stalling issue

Just replaced the water pump, timing belt, balance belt, tensioners, valve gasket, oil pan gasket, and aux belts on my 95 Accord EX. Now sporadically, after starting up, when you drop down into reverse or drive, it will shut off. Cranks right back up with no problems, and away you go. Doesn't cut off any other time, and only has done this 3 times since the repair job.

Never has done this before, and I don't know what I could have affected with the timing/water pump job, so any ideas or advice? Thanks.

Hummm...Three times over what period of time?

Since it has only happened three times, try to notice (if or when it happens again) if it does this only when the car is cold, sat for a long period.

Three times over a week. It only did it when it was hot. I had to run into Lowe's after a 30 minute drive, 5 minutes in, cranked up, dropped into reverse and stalled. Fired right back up, no problems.

Was searching the forums and got to reading the IACV info, would that cause the issue to start suddenly? We finished last Friday with the timing and stuff, and before that no problems.

So I will be taking the IACV and following the cleaning procedure outlined here and maybe that will help.

Might as well clean the tb, both sides of the butterfly and the edge where is seats off......Also read up on adjusting the FITV.

What is the base idle at?

Base is at approx. 700 or +/- a little.

Can't get to it today as other things have cropped up, but will be doing some cleaning tomorrow.

Will be doing some reading tonight and make a list to check off as I get into it.

Thanks

Well, cleaned the IACV, and so far, no issues. Hopefully that will have solved the issue. Now gotta move on to the other vehicle taking up floor space.

Thanks for the advice.
