Well i am not a woman. but already has a serious incident on Wednesday driving to the doctor in Gainesville, FL 18 wheeler struck a large tire in the middle of I-75 it went through the passenger side windshield, along with damaging the right front fender, left front passenger door, along with taking off the power mirror. The driver didn't stop at all. Had to do an emergency stop in the left median thank god for guard rails.

I am not sure if I will get the aBS fixed, the dealer where I bought the car says it's not worth it al all. The car has 174,000 and is worth about $500.00 I think though everything works on it except that.

Trying to see what the insurance comapny is going to do tomorrow. Yes, called the trucking comapny though the driver didn't stop lets see where that gets me.

When was the last time the entire brake system was flushed and refilled? Funky brake fluid can also cause the intermittent light.

The value of the vehicle and the cost of the repair is not of most importance.

YOUR LIFE is what is important. What value do you put on your life.

Two things that will help:

1. Replace/repair the vehicle.

2.Cheaper option: Follow other vehicles at TWICE the distance you do now, ( This should cut your chances of an unavoidable accident to about the same as your chance of winning a Power Ball lottery).

P.S. I don't understand - You paid $89 just to disconnect an indicator light that was irritating you?

I had the ABS sorted because the light was always on. I have no idea what the exchange rate between here and the states is, but it cost around £60 ($40?)
I sometimes wonder if garages charge for the worst case scenario and if it costs them almost nothing to repair, then they sting you for the whole amount and the rest is just even more profit? I have only ever known two garages in my life that quoted one price then charges much less, in one case, I was quoted around £100 and then charged only five pounds because it was something simple! Perhaps garages should think about people that would come back time and again, year after year instead of making a big profit, but only once!
But then, that might just be an English thing?
(rant over!)
