Hi I just purchased a 96 Accord Lx as mentioned above, the key lock outside driver door won't lock or open or even make any noise. I checked the fuse but it was for all power locks. Shouldn't you be able to open your door without power locks, like mechanically? Also the driver door light won't work(I don't know if that's related) Didn't seem to be a common fuse so I doubt it. Spray some WD-40 into the outside door lock to see if that frees it up.

I would guess that the bulb in the door is burned out and needs replaced.

 

Does the key move and the lock does not change or will the key not turn?

 

the key moves but nothing is happening

 

Then I will assume the "lock rod" has come loose. I'd pull the door panel and see what is going on, could just be a clip or something else. Others might have different advise.
